About Me

I would love to go anywhere in the world so that I can experience other cultures.  I have been to several countries in the world but feel I have not learned enough about other country's culture because of the short time I've spent in those countries.  To do the TEFL course hopefully will allow to go to other countries in the world and allowing to stay a bit longer than just a two week holiday!

Age Limit

Hi, I am in the process of finishing my 140hours TEFL course and wondering if there is anyone out there who is around 50+ teaching TEFL in Asian countries, particularly Indonesia? Please enlighten me? Thanks

Hi Katie,


Thanks for your comment.  I am exploring teaching in Indonesia (not Jakarta), maybe Bogor or Jogyakarta.  I am a bit concern about my age (54) in that english schools seem to go for younger people? Is there anyone out there about my age doing this course and managed to get a job teaching in asia particularly Indonesia?

Either way, I'd recommend checking out the groups on here, there's so many to click through, don't blame us if you spend an entire afternoon in there getting lost in all the blogs and photos from other TEFLers :)
