After weeks of deliberation I have booked up to the Thailand Internship today, I am so nervous but at the same time very excited. I have been working in the same school for 10 years and feel this is an opportunity I couldn't miss out on or I would regret it.
Need to fill out the application but it feels right. The safe option is to stay doing the job I am doing now for another year but life is about risks and doing crazy things sometimes. I have done something a bit crazy but the adventure and learning curve personally and professionally will be unbelievable.

Well i am finished now so i am going to take a few days rest lol. I am currently looking at different teaching options in Brazil, Korea and Japan. I am not completely set on a leaving date but the latest will be in April next year. In which case i will start learning the language of where ever i am going to go :) Very exciting!
You should enjoy it its definitely challenging and will inspire you
Thats great i am sure you will enjoy it! Good luck and dont hesitate to ask if you need any advice i just finally finished the 120 hour course :P
You can extend the course as you need to once you have started, it has taken me 6 months, however i think if your serious you can probably get it done or get far into it during the 6 week course. The 120 hour course has 20 hour grammar course which is informative if you have no idea what your doing and gets steadily more detailed, the main course goes from basics, grammar, games, teaching styles and advice for speaking, listening reading and writing activities. Mistake correction and A module on lesson planning and cultural concerns etc. Then the specialist modules are on young learners, large classes, one to one teaching and limited resources. I am not gonna lie the whole course is just a confidence booster, the 20 hour weekend is great, but other then that you dont get to practice the actual plans. However if you already work in a school then you probably have that side covered. Overall though it is a good course.
If Spain is your main aim though i have heard that CELTAs are more accepted the longer you can do the better. But for Asia and South America this is a good one to have under your belt. The question is if you already know how to teach, and know how to teach grammar, then you probably wont need this course?
Hey there i live in East London to! I am right near the end of the 120 hr TEFL now. It is good but pretty challenging for me as i work full time. Be aware that initially you get 3 months to complete the course which might seem like a lot but there is a lot of work in there. Overall though however challenging it is i would recommend it, i can actually create a lesson plan a lot faster then before i started, and i know a little bit more about the grammar. Just be prepared it will sap away your free time :P It is hugely beneficial if you are considering South Korea as the EPIK programme pays more if you have the 120 hour one. Otherwise i would think about the 100 hour one as the specialist modules are reasonably good but they arent essential i would say. Of course i havent left yet but just thought id pop some advice on here :P
