Okay, so you've landed in Hong Kong, started teaching and want to meet people. I started a group on here where you can do that. It's been running for a while mostly through Facebook, but also gathering English speakers from couchsurfing.org, hongkongstuff.com and geoexpat.com.

Excellent, I can't find the group. I am new to HK and would love to join :)
Great idea. I've been in HK (Lamma Island), since April '11, and my wife is chinese, so English speaking friends are a bit thin on the ground for me. I'm teaching part-time as a cover teacher, and although I've made SOME friends with the full-time teachers, I'd like to network more, particularly as I have plans to eventually open my own business english school.
