First 15 days in China!! Delay and Play!

Ok so here's my story so far whether ya wanna hear it or not..... So far......I've been loving China! My placement was delayed along with 20 or so others from the original 117 because of a cock up somewhere by someone. And so i was delayed from starting teaching on the 1st of March to having my first lesson tomorrow?! (10th March) BUT..... its worked out really well because it meant for the last 15 days i've been put up in a hotel for free, with free food and still getting payed for it! Well half kinda paid anyway. All i've been doing is sightseeing and get hideously drunk! Its 40p a beer out here...yes please! Had some mad nights out, including 2 all you can drink shindigs that were absolute carnage - all you can drink on any drink in the bar - 6pound for boys, 3pound for girls!! The chinese ppl have been really friendly, in fact sometimes they really go out of their way for us. Some nights we have gone to a bar or club and the chinese ppl have invited us to their partys and pay for our drinks all night because we are 'guests of china'. Sod club 18-30 get yourself on a teaching internship in China?!? Went to the great wall, saw an acrobat show, went to the old towns, forbidden city, temple of heaven, lama temple, tianmen square but didnt get to see chairmen mao when they wheel him out for an appearence. (he's dead but they've embalmed him and he comes out twice a day to say harro) We went to the zoo too and it was bloody horrible! no animal rights here the elephant was in a cage only just big enough for it to fit in let alone walk anywhere and it was banging its head on the bars, the monkeys were off their rocker, and the turtle in the turtle pool was dead! But yeah anyway the delay didnt really bother me as it gave the ones who were left at the hotel to get to know each other better (alot better in some cases) and enjoy our time in Beijing. I was then moved down to Hangzouh and put in another hotel down south for a few days where we continued the trend of going out during the night and hanging around sightseeing or waiting to be told some placement news during the day....Then yesterday i was told i would be leaving for my school which i was glad about because i'm looking forward to settling and start teaching but also sad about because i was not so secretly quite enjoying the dosser lifestyle. I also knew that i was travelling to my placement alone which i wasnt to keen on.... to be continued!!!
