Hey,

In terms of Malaysia and Singapore, they're not big TEFL destinations (in fact I can't even find anyone on Chalkboard who's teaching there for you to chat to!) - however that doesn't mean there aren't opportunities there - and if you've got family who you can stay with while you look for work you could have some luck.

From my experience, I've only taught in China, so would of course say it's the best! If you've never taught abroad before you might find the China internship a useful option: http://www.onlinetefl.com/teaching-internships/china/.

If you'd like a more balanced viewpoint you might want to chat to Emma - she's taught in Japan, Italy, the middle east and Portugal, so should be able to give you some pointers! http://www.tefl-chalkboard.com/emmafoers.

In terms of Latin and South America, Ecuador's a good bet and you can find opportunities there through i-to-i's job placement service, which always makes things a little easier! http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-jobs-abroad/tefl-ecuador.html

Hope that helps - if you have any other questions feel free to give me a shout!

Hey Daniel,

Welcome to Chalkboard! That's great you're thinking of teaching abroad - where are you going to be heading?
