Hi! My name is Crystal, I work for i-to-i in Australia....
I love to travel and meet new people and I love to write about my travels so that when im old I'll remember all the fun times and adventures I've had overseas. Reading back on my journals there was so much that I would've forgotten if I hadn't written it down....so my advice, keep a journal!!!!!!
If you want to call and have a chat with me about our TEFL Courses you can call 1300 88 50 36 from Australia or 0800 85 09 50 from New Zealand.

I've just returned from Nepal where I was teaching for a period of near four months. I was at a monastery and also did some work at a refugee camp in Pokhara, north of Nepal.
I got in touch with an NGO who needs qualified teachers or volunteer teachers who needs an oportunity to develop their teaching skills; my experience in Nepal was beyond amazing and I'll be returning the following year to work with this NGO plus another monasteries.
If you know of anyone who would like to have a go and try this amazing opportunity, i would be very happy to provide them with any information.
Cheers,
Edson
Hi Crystal! Thanks for your letter :) I have just started the 140 hour TEFL course. I am completing the 20-hour class in Perth on 9 July and I am very much looking forward to it!
I wish to teach in many countries throughout Asia. So far I have done some volunteer work in Saigon, Vietnam. I wish to go back there as I loved the children and culture. I am happy that such courses are available which can allow me to live and work in such beautiful countries.
Thankyou for your support and I will be sure to keep in touch.
Alysha
Hello, Crystal! thank you for your Welcome letter! that was great to know that there are people here eager to help:-))
i have signed up for the 60 hours online TEFL course the other day, but i am planning to start studying in July after i am done with my Uni exams. That will be my first TEFL Certificate as i am an international student and came to Australia a few months ago. i tought english back in my home country and i would love to continue the experience in Australia or anywhere abroad. I figured that this Certificate would be a good start. I am really hoping that it will work out!
thank you for your offer to help! i will surely contact you should i have any question! have a nice week end!
All the best, Yana.
Hey Crystal,
Thanks so much for the warm welcome. I've rung the TEFL office and asked about the courses but I'm only planning to study at the beggining of next year when I've got the bulk of my Uni degree out of the way. I just thought I'd join the chalkboard to get a sense of how it all works.
Thanks for the offer of help, I'll definitely take you up on that as soon as I have a more defined idea of what I'd like to do, or closer to starting my course.
Cheers, Christina.
Hi Crystal

Hi Crystal!
I have a minor concern, but I'm not quite sure how to address it...I've finally finished my course (YAY!!) But I didn't download my certificates but everything's disappeared now that my courses have expired. Will I be getting them in the mail? Also, is there any way of viewing what I learned, especially the tutor's feedback as I found it really helpful.
I didn't realise that about teaching in Australia!! Good to know...well I was thinking more tutor-y type stuff anyway, and I know a place where I can volunteer my new found skills so hopefully they won't go to waste!! Anway, have a great Wednesday!:)

Hi Crystal, yes indeed i am! I finish my course in 4 weeks!!
I have been trying to speak to a few of the consultants in regards to either perhaps doing another short course or help with find a job over in Europe, however I keep missing their calls and when I call back, they're not available so there has been a fair bit of phone tag going on lol, but I hope to speak to someone to find out my options. I'm hoping to be back over in Europe between July and Sept 2011 so i'm trying to find out as much as possible. I've lived over in Germany for a year and it wasn't too hard to get a visa here, but other European countries might not be so forthcoming.
Any advice or nudges in the right direction is most welcomed!
Cheers
Hi Crystal! Thanks for your warm welcome:)
Yep, I'm just slogging my way through the modules now, I should be done by the end of this month.
I actually won't be heading off overseas until 2013 because I'm still a timeless and moneyless uni student! I was thinking of going somewhere with great food where I'll be able to have a white Christmas! Do you have any suggestions? After I finish up my TEFL course I'm hoping to get some part-time work teaching/tutoring EFL in Brisbane to gain some experience, do you have any advice as to how to go about that?
Much appreciated!
P.S., It seems as though you have the coolest job ever! :)
