Just curious though, have you received your TEFL certification? Are you already teaching in Qatar?
I'm 45 and working in Qatar. I live here with my husband. It's an interesting place with a very diverse population-once you look past the thobes and abayas. I anticipate moving to Egypt in the future and want to have some certifications already completed so as to find a decent job there, as well as enhance my career here.
People do love the English language and they value it. Never underestimate the potential that a native English speaker has. Even the non-native speakers who have mastered it have better jobs and better contacts because of it. We have something valuable to share. I want to share it effectively.
