Wow - Morocco sounds really fantastic - somewhere I've always wanted to visit.
In terms of online courses, your best option if you haven't taught before is the 100 hour online course. It'll give you a really thorough grounding in TEFL and will also open the doors to better paid TEFL contracts, as well as giving you the confidence that you'll do a good job of course! You can get all the details here: http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-courses/online-tefl-course-100.html Bottom line is that the longer course you do, the more ground you'll cover and the better qualified you'll be.
The 20 hour course is actually a classroom course, which is really great fun and will give you a good introduction to TEFL, but may not fully prepare you for life in the classroom. The best option might be to combine the best of both worlds and do a 120 hour combined TEFL course: http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-courses/combined-tefl-courses-120.html
Hope that helps! If you want any more advice feel free to give me a shout - or call one of our TEFL advisors on 800 352 1793.
Hi Honor,
I'm hoping to teach in Casablanca, Morocco. I have lived there before due to that's where my in-laws are. Thank you for your offer of advice. I do have one question, which course online is the best? I know there is a 20hr course but what's the difference between that and the 100hr course?
Hey Cooleen,
That's cool you're thinking about getting TEFL certified - where are you hoping to teach?
If you have any questions or need any advice about courses etc please get in touch and I'll do my best to help :)
