I was wondering in Santiago area is there a Greek restaurant anyone there recommends?
Hi CL Coastal!
Your trip to Chile sounds great. Yes some employers do state for TEFL teachers between 25 up to 55, but I have known many teachers over this age to still find work abroad and have a great time!
I haven't taught abroad, as I'm still at university. Once I've finished next year I'm hoping to do some travelling around South America and hopefully do some teaching out there too.
I don't have much knowledge on teaching in Chile specifically, but I've just done a quick Google search for 'TEFL jobs in Chile' and have seen this job - http://www.goabroad.com/providers/teachingchile/programs/teach-in-chile-english-for-university-101412. It doesn't look like this one has a maximum age, so I think you have a really good chance of finding work in Chile with your age. Afterall you've got a lot more life experience than younger TEFL teachers!
Have you got a TEFL certificate yet? Or are you just looking into the possibilities of teaching there?
