I just passed my checkpoint 2 quiz after 3 attempts. Did others find it as confusing as I did? What got me was the tenses.. I know past, present and future.. but the continuous, perfect and simple aspects really got me. Comment and tell me what you think!

Thankyou for all your comments! It's been very helpful! I will most certainly buy a grammer book.. the only thing i'm confused with is the simple, perfect and continuous aspects of the tenses. - I think because it's all very new to me (to actually name them - rather than just speak it.. i'm afraid I never really did the formalities of English Grammer).
And Daniel - you're right! You've made me worried! hahaha i'm sure i'll be right - I'll just have to study it!
you might find it helpful to buy a good but simple grammar book. I'm afraid I can't recommend one as I usually find something on google if I get stuck.
The thing is you really need to have it clear in your mind before you start a class, so even if you pass the course with flying colours it might be good to a quick reference guide on hand for when you're working. You'll get used to it all pretty soon.

a five second search yeilded this page - there's lot's more.
Recently I looked at 2 books - the complete and very informative Grammar for English Teachers (or something like that) and one called English Grammar for Dummies, both of which actually had their merits. The more 'intelligent' one is actually not very logically laid out but does tell you everything. The 'dummies' book tells you less but does it quickly.
When you are teaching you may find yourself without easy internet access, so a book would help with that aswell as give you confidence with your further assessments.
I was having a hard time too so I actually went through and did the Grammar Aweness and then went back and finished the course. It helped a lot. Someone on here suggested that. I am really glad that I did that. I would go that route! Good luck!
Hi Claire,
I did think it was a bit oif brain buster but I'm affraid you won't like my opinion because I think the checkpoints after 1 & 2 are actually harder. Checkpoint 3 especially took me forever. Anyway, best of luck and merry christmas if you are celebrating
I'm not really sure! I thought I understood it, then when it came to the chapter quiz.. I couldn't think of which one was the best in the circumstance.. so probably the use!
was it the form or the use that you found confusing?
