So for anyone a little nervous about the weekend courses - don't be!!! It is seriously fun! Since I had completed over 100hrs online the in class portion was like a refresher, which was nice. Sigrid did an amazing job by leading the tutorial!! You cover a lot of ground and are tired by the end but it was a fantastic experience - it really puts what you learn online into context and into your head for good. I'll admit I was a little upset having to do it on my birthday weekend but it turned out fabulous!! To those of you there I just want to say "Ontario Canadian Carrots" - I forgot to do it in the lesson plan - shoot. It was such a fun group and I hope we all stay in touch. (Oh, also wanted to mention did any of you have fun on the 'bus' as I did? lol)
However now that this is done and I have completed everything else all that is left is the 'preparation for the internship' [including supplies, visas, plane ticket, needles]. It is all downhill from here, which is scary because it would be nice to do the courses right up till I leave and it keeps it fresh in my mind. Well at least I have all the material I can go over multiple times.
Overall awesome weekend and if anyone from the weekend or whomever has questions about anything course related or what have you just ask!!! Seriously - it will keep me busy from my boring job! :)
Hope everyone has a great summer and that I hope no-one was stuck in traffic like I was on the way home (accident on the 400 kept me for 45 min - car turned off and reading - yup that sucks).
