I am doing the TEFL online course, so far so good, but....I'm now stuggling. I'm now "brain dead", on Checkpoint 4 Ques: 3-9. I can't find any really help, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
Regards from Bob

Hi Caz,
Well done! Exciting :-)
Hi,
Just to let you know I've passed all of my tefl now. Thanks for all your support :) Now to find a job!
Passed tefl module 5 am so pleased, just waiting for results of video sections 6 and 8 now :)
Hey caz,
Good - just try to tailor them to the lesson in question!
Thanks, has given me a few ideas, will try them and hope my tutor likes them, will let you know :)
Hi there Caz,
It's important to try to cut down teacher talk time and focus more on increasing student talk time and getting students to become more active participants in the lesson. For example, when I want students to correct sentences on the board, instead of writing the corrections myself I get students to come up to the board and write the corrections. They enjoy doing this and it involves them more in the class. Can you think of any ways to increase student involvement in the video lesson?
There are many different follow up activities you can do after any lesson. You might want to use the lesson as a lead in to a roleplay, a reading/written exercise, a discussion or a debate etc...
Again, there are many different lead ins you can use. The purpose of a lead in is to get the students interested and thinking about the topic. So if you are doing a lesson on shopping, you might want to play a video of a man shopping to elicit shopping vocabulary.
Hope this helps - you will need to use your imagination a lot to prepare for lessons. Don't be afraid to say what you would do in class - your tutor will guide you in what will work/won't work from their experience.
Good luck!
