Re. Online Assignments

Anyone know if you can appeal a tutors corrections  I'm about to resubmit my final assignment for the 3rd time but I have a feeling it's going to be failed again. I've made all the corrections she suggested, eventhough her instructions were pretty weird. Yet everytime I resubmit she tells me to try again. It's really got me quite annoyed. Any suggestions would be helpful.

if you fail a 3rd time then it can be appealed and a second oppinion is given!

However, for the sake of i-to-i customer service a personal tutor should be assigned to each person who they can email for help.
The fact you have a tutor who sometimes gives you vague instructions is not helpful, and its more frustrating when you are not able to contact them to expand on what they mean.

Even more frustrating is when you are passed from one tutor to another... granted sometimes tutors are busy, take breaks, have other commitments etc etc - but this problem should not be passed on to the student who is trying to study...it causes unnecessary stress and frustration... essentially a tutor should mark a whole section and remark the work that is submitted again - not keeping passing it along!

hi buckley 12,

I see you are Irish lik myself. Not sure if you can appeal a tutor's decision or not. Did the tutor give you any advice. Whcih assignment was it for the TEFL or Grammar Modules perhaps I could help if I had a look at your assignment.

all the best,

Annette Murphy current TEFL online student of the 120 hour TEFL course

my email is annettemurphy67@eircom.net

What assignment is it and what questions?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm just looking for a bit of coherency is all.

Hello!

Just to let you know that at any point you can email the TEFL Helpdesk on helpdesk@tefl-training.com and they can pass your email along to the correct tutor for further clarification.

Direct email addresses aren't given out, but you are more than welcome to go via the lovely Helpesk and they can facilitate that to make sure you're happy with the feedback and can use it not only to pass the course, but use it in your classroom too once you're TEFL qualified!

I really recommend you doing this before you go any further so that you have complete clarity before taking the next step with your submissions. One of our graduates wrote this great blog post about their top tips for working through the course that might help?

I hope this helps, good luck with the remainder of the course. We're here to help at any time.

That's just it. The course has a great layout, planty of online resources and every module has a pdf with everthing on it. However, when it comes to feed back, thereis very little interaction with the tutors. You really have no chance to argue your case or reason with a tutor. It's their way or the highway. And often times what really bugs me is when tutors disagree with each other. You answer a qustion in a certain format suggested by a tutor, you apply it again and you're told you're wrong and to adjust it to a different layout or format.

Honestly, I'm not sure what to tell you as I have just recently been looking into taking the i-to-i online courses. I'm wondering if you might be able to give me some insight on your experience so far. Anything would be appreciated. I'm curious to know about how well you can communicate with your tutor(s).
