I am from South Australia and this is my first venture into China as a teacher. I have had the pleasure of traveling here 3 or 4 times before.
I have mostly taught Adults IT and Change Management Control; (I have written books on the subject), Quality Control, and Visual and Mathematical Analysis.
Teaching English is a real “C” change for me, and yes I am doing the TEFL course, and have been in discussion with the “Help Desk, often about items that my Analytical mind picks up.
I hope to start work in China soon, currently soon to be in Hong Kong to cover the gaps in my Visa pre re entry to China, on a Work Visa as against a Tourist Visa.
Even though I can speak moderately simple Chinese, the locals must have a problem with my Aussie accent, because even the most simplest of conversational linguistics, is like having a Language brick wall. I do have fun breaking down barriers.
