Hey there!!
I am considering doing the online course myself, but want to know more details about it from someone whohas done it.
I want to know what you think about the course?
which course did you go for? and is it the online course?
=] please msg me asap =]
I would love to teach children in Hong Kong english as a language, however with my limited qualification - not having done english at A-level I find myself stuck! but previous school teacher has mentioned TEFL in which I should do to teach abroad. Also not being able to get into Uni with not enough UCAS points to do the course I want to and not having the requirements they require...
Argh.. im so stuck on what to do.. do you recommend I do this online TEFL course?
Please help me!!! =] Thx in advcance!!
Tiu Keng Leng, cool. Yeah, I'm in a similar situation to you with the visa, I don't need to worry about getting one to work in Hong Kong. Makes it much easier getting jobs.
Okay, we have some common interest, what do you like to do when not teaching? I personally like to do anything but teaching, just not many options for a Westerner in Hong Kong who isn't super highly qualified.
Thanks Bev,
Myself and my girlfriend are not planning on going till August but want to get something sorted before we get there. Hopefully the 2 web sites you have provided will help.
Thanks again Bev, Darren

Hi everyone, sorry I have not been checking in here for a while. I am looking for part time TEFL teachers for my center, as well as teachers for the coming school year for kindergartens, primary, and secondary schools. Please send your CVs to sunflowersenglish@gmail.com.
OK enough plugging!
DKENNEDY - If I were looking for a full-time teacher, I could sponsor you! However, I won't be doing that until early the next half of the year. In the meantime, you can go to jobsdb.com, or scmp.com. What else do you want to know exactly??
THOMASSID11 - Yes I am enjoying teaching in HK - so much so that I have established my own learning center! I like teaching kindergarteners though! How are you going with your job hunting here? Fire me specific questions and I will be glad to answer!!
DEAN - I teach in Kowloon (Tiu Keng Leng)
Hi Bev,
I have just recieved my TEFL qualification and interested in Hong Kong. Can you give me any advice or tips of how is best to get a teaching position in Hong Kong?
Thanks, Darren
Hi Bev,
How are you enjoying teaching in Hong Kong? What school/age do you teach?
I'm planning on teaching TEFL (primary to university level) in Hong Kong soon. Would you be able to advise me which schools are currently hiring? Which areas are the best for non-Cantonese speakers to live in (i.e. number of ex-pats, international schools, etc.)?
Cheers, Tom
So nice~ Well, I do a course in another one in Fanling. I was talking to another Kindergarten teacher in Shenzhen, wow - the hours their Kindergartens make me quite happy to be teaching in Hong Kong, I thought it was 'cram style' here.
