I'm moving to China in 2 weeks and I was wondering what toiletries to stock up on as I've been told some things are hard to get hold of or are really expensive. If you know of anything please please comment. I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks again.

Beth, the only thing that you should bring with you is deodorant... they don't really know how to make that and have it smell nice.... everything else for toiletries you can get here and it's pretty inexpensive... and really a lot cheaper. Make sure you bring all of your medical things you take or need i.e. advil or tylenol, cold medicines, allergy, ointments that type of items such as cortisone (for the bug bites from all sorts of bugs here), antibacterial ointments, as they are hard to come by here and more expensive as people are more into the Chinese medical treatment. Unless you want that you will need to bring that with you. Also immodium (get the real stuff, no knock-off brands) if you can't handle the spicy foods, and also tums or some type of antacid if you have problems with the gas from foods.
