Hi there everyone!! I haven't actually made up my mind to teach English abroad, but when I came across this website while Googling, I think it's actually one great opportunity that I should not let pass without giving it a try. So to anyone from here, please do share with me your experiences while teaching abroad, and I hope with your sharings, I will have more confidence to give it a go myself.. Cheers!! 
By the way, I'm a full-time employee currently at one of the companies in my country, but sad to say, I'm not getting full satisfaction from my current job. I've always been told that I have the qualities to be a teacher / educator, so I think now would be the time to prove my capabilities to myself and to share with the rest of the world...? =) hihihiks...

How much does it cost to start a course before we can teach?

Hi everyone, I am interested in teaching in Thailand, but when i read about the information on this website, http://www.teachabroadthailand.com/tefl-chiang-mai.html, it seems like it costs a fortune to get a TEFL certificate, around 3988pounds, USD$6380. It's really really expensive. This is a "hands-on" kind of course, where we get to go to Thailand to "feel" the culture before we get the certificate. Long term career

Hi all...i'm really keen on teaching english abroad, however, another thing seemed to hold me back. Somebody told me that going abroad to teach english is something really interesting, but it might not be a long term career. Does this mean that we would be travelling constantly, and we might not be able to settle in one country for good...? So to all experienced TEFL educators, please share with me.. thanks...
