How to get a TEFL job on arrival...

Anyone worried about getting a job on arrival? I've got a job on arrival in Ecuador, Brazil, Australia, and Spain.

My job in Thailand was prearranged. I suffered to begin with and I had to put up with a lot of rubbish, but in the end I enjoyed the experience.

With the right research and a bit of luck you can find a job on arrival in most countries who don't have a complicated visa system.

It's a risk, but the world is out there for you to discover.

Take a look at this blog for more info.

I'd love to know if anyone else has got a job on arrival too, or in which countries you have to get a job beforehand.

Cheers.

Hi, I'm in Madrid.  Check MadridLoquo and lingobongo websites where you can find both job offers and private students.  There's lots on offer at the moment to start in January, although lots do want degrees there are plenty that don't.  They also often want a certain amount of experience but you can get this from private students.  You could also try Vaughan systems, they have a very particular method which they train you in although its rigid and demanding.  it is good pay though and they're always recruiting.  They don't care about qualifications and they sort of prefer it if you've got no experience as its a bit hard to adjust to their method if you have a style of your own.  Once you're through the training you can do what you like!

Also i was wondering where in spain you are Alix??

Hi Alix, thank you for the comment. I'm a little imtimidated because all the employers seem to want a degree which I do not have. :( But staying positive ...

Chloe, there's loads of work in Spain, it's pretty easy to find work here and you can get 15-25€ and hour for private students too.
