Been a while since my last post. Well I have completed my first semester teaching here in China, and overall thought it went well. I did have highs and lows, but this will have me being better prepared for the next semester. The Uni I'm at have offered me a new contract which is great but I have made a few applications else where in China and other countries just to see what other options I get....
Anyone who is thinking to do a i-to-i course, or trying China I would say go for it!!. The course will help you get work and China's a great place and the poeple are fantastic..

OK....I'm going to stop moaning and concentrate on finishing this thing so I can get my first teaching gig! Lets do it!!! :-)
I'm confident you will be able to find employment like many others here on the chalkboard, so get the course finished Denise :-)
I'll look into it for sure. Thanks for the suggestion. I must now try to find the initative to finish to 140hr course. I hope this is the first and last hiccup I have in getting out of Ireland!
Hi There, I was a little disappointed not hearing back after sending my Indonesian application but there are other countires that will accept the i-to-i certification so don't give up!. Have you checked out Dave's ESL Cafe, loads of jobs there. Good Luck
I know you're right. I should apply elsewhere. I was just soooo set on Indonesia. I'm devasted at not being considered! I really thought I had a shot. You are just led to believe that once you do the TEFL you can go anywhere you want and you'll be wanted. It's been an eyeopener I tell you!
What are your plans now?
