Hey there,
Just wondering what did everyone else work at before they went to teach?
I am a truck driver so im wondering if i can turn teacher? I was in China last October for holiday and loved it and id really like to do this TEFL. I have even started learning Chinese!
Also is anyone else from Ireland going in Agust 2012 to China?
Thanks

G'day mate or ninhao,
I was a window cleaner. Time for a change of carreer and I'm not sure what our success rate will be. I think patience and a good sense of humour will help so an Irish truck driver probably has a good head start to be sure. :)
Speaking of heads does Polly have sharp claws?
Dave.
Ni hao.
I managed a team of civil enforcement officers (yes, traffic wardens - please don't hate me?). Before that, I managed a motorway service station, and before that, various pubs, clubs, restaurants and shops.
I studied Film and TV production at university whilst doing part time work at an interac childrens museum that was about history and archaeology - to save money after my course finished i worked full time at the museum for 6months until i quick my job, lived with my parents for a month whilst i prepared last minute things and then came to japan where i have been 2 years and going into my 3rd year soon!
I was a gardener... lonely hours in the suburbs of Bristol. I only gave it up cos I damaged my tendons beyond repair and I really miss it. Nothing like teaching though, so I don't think it matters about the past, only the future!
Hey! I was a web developer, which is not exactly customer facing! I did do a half year trying to get a PGCE, but quickly came to the conclusion that teaching in Britain isn't where my heart is.
