She ruined my holiday!!

Ok, this is just a follow up story from my previous post.

So, today, Rob got the answer from his DoS which had been told by the manager, that he couldn't get leave that she (the manager) ALREADY approved it weeks ago herself. And if Rob will make that day off, he won't get the flight bonus.

Freaky!

So, as a result, Rob will miss the gorgeous view of sun rises in Parai Beach (Bangka) as he will arrive in Bangka on Saturday morning. After we leave the beach, I don't think we'll have more beach.

I hate that woman! I really hate her! I know she's workaholic, but it doesn't mean that everybody has to be like her.

Argh!!

It's unfair. She already approved it herself. Now, canceled it with a short notice. She even didn't think, if she noticed earlier and told Rob earlier, he would take a whole week off last week.

What do you  think? Is it fair enough?

Well, one thing for sure, for those who are applying to English First  Swara Group, you have to be careful about where you will be placed. Because, you won't get inform until you arrive in Indonesia. Just ask, and if they say it's in EF Gading Serpong, maybe you want to think about it over. 

They mostly hired first year teacher as those teachers just want to travel and get paid. The salary isn't too much as you will get foreigner's prices here for most of the things.

And also, the contact is not good, if you read it carefully, you will ONLY get 10 leave days, although it stated 22 days (they take 12 for Christmas, Idul Fitri (Moslem celebration days), and some of national holidays. In the contract, there will always be a way to make you as uncomfortable as they can. After that, if you break the contract, they will ask for penalty which is you have to pay for your visa from the time you leave until the end of your contract. And also, you have to give them deposit 500 USD if you want to travel outside Indonesia as a guarantee that you will come back.

And the salary you get is EXCLUDED your accommodation. And you have to pay your bill (about 250k IDR --> about 25 USD per month). Maybe you will pay more if you DRINK MORE, COOK MORE, CALL MORE, etc. And if you need something, PLEASE don't have the thought that they will help you. Trust me, it's just a chit chat after your arriving.

After that, you ONLY get 75 USD per contract for your health insurance. As an Indonesian, I'm not saying that it is a big amount. 

And another thing that is weird, they only provide 1 gallon (about 19 liters) mineral water for almost 20 people in a week. Yes, IN A WEEK. And if you drink more than that, guess what? You HAVE to pay for it. I just know that it's unacceptable that you have to limit people's basic need. But I'm not sure if they still do that or not because most of the teachers didn't take water from that dispenser anymore.

Wait until in the beginning of April, and you'll find out more, I think, from Rob. So, keep your eyes open for this.
