Yes, that's right! Its just the fact that become a teacher in Indonesia means to stuck in such a poor life for the rest of my life that makes me didn't take educations as my major.
But the life's changing so fast. One of my friends is a kindergarten teacher now at international school (of course) and her salary is twice mine. What a great profession.
I have not enough confidence to apply to those international school as my spoken English when I'm graduated from University wasn't as good as now. I was a passive English. Now, I find myself can communicate with my boyfriend (which is British) and speak proper English with my students.
Something in teaching makes me feel useful, as maybe I seldom feel that when I'm home. I don't think that if I do another profession, the feeling that I get when I'm off of work will be like now (I always miss my students).
Teaching is not only because you get some money for doing that. Its only one of some goals in teaching for me. But the feeling you get when you see your students can do things that you taught is great feeling.
One of my students, named Edward (4), cannot write number at all when I met him for the first time. It's been almost 1 month now since he learn to write with me. So far, he can recognize numbers until 4, but can write until 2 (still not good, but he can). It was a great feeling when I didn't have to hold his hand to guide him to write number 2 and how immpresive when he can write number 1 (from up to down, he used to do that in reverse). Now, he only needs more practice number 2, then we can go on to the next number. He got concentration problem while studying, but I know he will be better when he grow up.
Now I'm focusing on how to make the math class flow as fun as I can as the work is quite much and they have to write number a lot. And also I'm on the follow up training from the company for standard of teaching based on their curricullum. It was a good training. I like that. And for addition, I have to do math higher level training, which i have to do junior high school math. Its fun, because I don't have to do that to get a good score and my manager always be a good teacher for me.
Teaching is what I want to do in my life, its fun. I just need to improve myself so that I can give my best for the students as they will be a lot better than me.

That's great that you get such a feeling of fufilment from teaching and I'm sure that the more you do it and the more your confidence grows the better a teacher you'll be!
Make sure you keep us updated with your progress (and Edward's of course!)
