So, I've been studying the grammar recently and urghghghg, I don't like it. :P I'm having a hard time with the billion tenses that exist; I don't have a good system for memorizing them. Does anyone have any tips/ideas? It just feels like there's so much to take in that it's really overwhelming.
Aside from that, I've also been busy looking into wedding plans! Stefano & I are already married but we are going to have a ceremony in the states next summer. A few nights ago I got my dress! Bought it and brought it home, as well as the veil. It's the most beautiful dress ever and I'm very happy with it. We've decided on Disney invitations in the theme of Cinderella and her prince and they're adorable. So, I'm very excited for that! :)

Spiwak can I just say that is very good way of remembering them, I will have to write that down :-)
OMG Spiwak ......that is the best way to remember them , I'm glad I found this post :D
Glad they helped. I was worried that they might after I went back and read my comment again. I was like "I hope all that made sense." LOL
As for me.. doing okay. Still got my 8 video practice modules left and then I'll be done. Will be working on them a bit today while Nemanja is out taking his second to last exam for the year. Tomorrow is his last then we get to FULLY enjoy summer! Can't wait. Got some plans in the making and I hope they happen. Could mean starting Monday I'm at a lake in the mountains just relaxing, learning to fish, herb harvesting, and who knows what else. Could use that.
As for checkpoint three...it asks about concept questions, wants you to watch a video on an EFL class and answer questions about it, asks you how you'd teach certain words (one of those teach it without using it to define it kind of tasks), bits of lesson plans but not a full lesson plan, stress patterns, and to observe some sentences written at different levels of English and tell what they did wrong and how you'd correct it. They show an example of how they want it laid out. 37 questions total. But it's not too bad. Promise. :))
Thank you for your help & your examples! They helped a lot. :)
How have you been doing? I've just been completing the lessons on here and doing all of my quizzes, etc. Once I'm done studying; or tonight or tomorrow, I need to start my third checkpoint. How is it? What kinds of things do they ask of you? Kinda nervous! :P
First, congrats on the ceremony!!!!! I can't wait to see pictures!!
As for grammar.. my teacher in HS always told us that how ever many words are in the title of the tense, that's how many words belonged on it. Future being the only catch.. but you know that always has 'will'.. Perfect tenses always have a work in "past tense" and continuous/progressive is always -ing... Perfect uses "have/has/had" and continuous/progressive uses "to be" verbs..
Examples:
Past - worked
Present - works
Future - will work
Past Perfect - had worked
Present Perfect - has worked
Future Perfect - will have worked
Past Progressive/Continuous - was working
Present Progressive/Continuous - is working
Future Progressive/Continuous - will be working
and so on... if you need more help I can see if I can find some of the diagrams I used to help me out. :)
Good luck sweetie and message me if you need something!!
