Hello,
I have a one-way ticket booked to Argentina in February. I plan on teaching English for about 6 months in Buenos Aires before travelling around and seeing it all. Is there anyone out there that is looking at doing something similiar? Or, anyone that is currently doing this? I would love as much advice and recommendations as possible - there is so many things on my to do list, thinking of a logical order to do things is tough.

I am planning to go to BA to teach english for 6 months, arriving there in early July 2012. How did your experience finding work go? And what was the living situation like on the teaching salary?
Also, I'm shopping around to see what TEFL course to sign up for. Any suggesstions?

Hey I thought you needed a Return or onward ticket to show customs ? did you obtain a working VISA ?

Heyy Nick and Ashleigh I have the same plan as you guys! Booking flights for 22nd february armed with a TEFL certificate and my backpack and hoping to stay in Buenos Aires for abour 6 months. Are you guys starting off in a hostel and taking it from there?

Sounds like you have exactly the same plan as me! I'm flying out to S. America on 16th Feb, but probably won't get to BA until the last week of Feb - hoping to stay for 6 months (perhaps longer).
What's your plan of action when you get out there? I'm basically turning up with a bag and hoping to find work - detailed, I know! Would be good to meet fellow TEFLers out there, let me know your plans.

Hi Ashleigh, I'm going to BA in January. I'm guessing you're just going to turn up and find work/accommodation while you're there? I'm also hoping to stay for about 6-9 months as I've heard it's such a beautiful city.
If you're looking to rent a room in a shared flat/house, easyroommate.com is definitely the best for that I think. Or if you want to rent an entire apartment there are loads I;m sure you've come across, like 4rentargentina etc. Do you know how you are going to go about finding a tefl job while you're there, or are you going to secure one before you go away?
