I'm a young 27 yo who has just finished a 5 month tour of SE Asia and seem to have found my calling!!! I'm looking forward to completing my TEFL course and getting out there to see some more of the world and teach children/adults English which in turn will hopefully put money in their pockets and food in their bellies. Im From Kent and and very welcome to anyone with any experience who may be able to help me on the new chapter of my life.(sorry if that sounded a bit old mannish but it seemed like the way to write in this lil bit. And i know I could be one of the teachers you had at school and looked forward to their lesson a couple of times a week.

Log in to leave a comment or Create an accountHi ya mate. I really don't know yet. I met a few guys teaching in Phnom Penh and they loved it, and they were only both 24 and have been doing it for 2 years. I really enjoyed Cambodia in general and in all the places ive visited they are the friendliest and most outgoing so if I don't get any of the jobs I apply for in Europe then I'll maybe incorperate travelling and searching in Phnom Penh. You don't need a degree which I've noticed a lot of the jobs in Europe want but ive still got a big summer ahead of me and a lot of thinking to do but it is definitely something I want to at least try. Any advice or tips would be handy. Cheers
Howdy and welcome to the Chalkboard.
