About Me

I am a clinical nurse specialist (Emergency and Midwifery) back home (Australia) and now here I am in Turkey teaching English to Grades 5, 6, 7 and 8! Never in a million years would I have ever believed that I'd be teaching English.....Emergency nursing - YES, Breastfeeding - Yes, How to deliver a baby - Yes, CPR - Yes.....but English - Never!
Sometimes I think to myself 'how did I ever get here'? Primarily, I can thank my husband for that. Anyway, twenty years of nursing really was enough. I love my new career and I cannot imagine EVER going back to nursing. I really love right where I am now in my life and in my career.
Never say 'never'.
Cheers

Oh I can relate to that lol:) Relatives staying over & you don't have a chance to have a break yourself. You should have just gone away & leave the house to them:) Anyway, good to know you're well out n about. The summer plan, is it education wise? Well enjoy the rest of summer. My interview was very good. We have agreed on the terms in principal, so when I go there in Sept we'll have face to face & go from there... Take care xxx

Hi Mine! How did your interview go? Sorry I could not reply to your post but time was and still is not on my side. In the last 2 weeks I have moved house and planned and implemented a summer program which has been fantastic but very tiring. On top of that, I have not had any holiday BUT I have had my in-laws, cousins and friends visit and stay at my place while they had their lovely holidays. :o/ I suppose that's what happens when you live in a city as beautiful as Antalya. :o))) Take care and happy studying ;o). Annika xx

Hi Annika, I take it that you are in Turkey right now?  Which area are you in, did you find it easy to get a job did you have the job before you went to Turkey and have you taken family with you?

Would be grateful for any advice.

Best wishes

J
