Volunteer Teaching Opportunities in NSW, Australia

Interested in getting some volunteer teaching experience before you kick off your Teaching English Career?

Volunteer Tutors Needed for Term 3!

Provide Kindergarten to Year 6 children of refugee background with academic and general English support
One afternoon a week from 3.00pm – 4.30pm (between Monday to Wednesday)

SPARK (St Vincent de Paul Society Assisting Refugee Kids) provides refugee children and their families with community, educational and social support through primary schools in Regents Park, Auburn, Parramatta, Pendle Hill, Granville Guildford and Girraween. We are able to do this through the commitment of fantastic volunteers who spare one afternoon a week between Monday to Wednesday from 3.00pm-4.30pm to work with the SPARK participants.

Volunteers are required to join the program from Term 3, to make at least a two term commitment to the program. Term 3 runs for 8 weeks from 25 July to 15 September 2011 and Term 4 for 6 weeks from 17 October to 24 November 2011. If you are interested and available to volunteer with SPARK from Term 3, there are limited spaces available training sessions next month on either Friday 8th July or Saturday 16th July 2011 in Parramatta from 9.00am – 3.00pm.
