Well, as of last Thursday, I officially finished my undergraduate English degree. I have 4 hours of exams to go, and then that is the end of college for me, well at least for the next 2 years or so.
So now, its time to start planning my move across the world to teach. I have decided to concentrate my efforts on Japan, and I have been looking at Interac and JET, but it seems the JET programme only goes in Septmeber every year, and its quite clear that I have missed the deadline to apply which seems to have been Autumn 2011 (talk about the need for thinking ahead). So as I am not really willing to wait until Septmeber 2013, I think another plan of action is in order. I am thinking of just winging it, seeing what jobs are available come end of August/September, and just applying for anything that stands out, but of course that runs the risk of ending up being screwed over by a un-reputable company etc.
Interac seems pretty good, but it seems hard to find info on their recruitment times without applying here and now, and I don't really want to do that as I don't want to leave for anoth 3 months at least. So, I was wondering if anyone has any tips? I was looking to go betweem September and December so anything around that time would work. Anyone know of any companies which recruit around that time? Or just generally any tips for heading to Japan. Any help is, as always, appreciated. (Just to say, I already have a 120 TEFL course, if that makes any difference).
