My SLS prof sent us an email about an online learning community called Cypris Chat (http://cypris.ning.com) where people can either volunteer to teach English or learn English. They have online chat rooms and you can volunteer to lead online lessons or online chat sessions. Majority of the learners are from Asia. You can even observe classes before you decide to volunteer. Well, if anyone's interested in having some teaching experience even if it's online, you can check it out. I haven't really tried it yet.

Hi,
There's a thing which (I think!) is similar called English Cafe, but they don't give you much of an explanation, I'm just now trying to figure it out. Anyone else use it?
It seems a little tough. I'm a Westerner living in Hong Kong and I often come across Chinese with a good (if not first language ability) with English who struggle to be anything more then a Teachers Assistant. A passport in a Western Country really doesn't seem to help you very much if you don't look like an English speaker (what ever that's suposed to mean, as though you need to be European looking to speak English).
Good luck guys
Sounds like a good tip - thanks very much Amcacho!
