Are you looking to work in China?
Do you want to work with Kindergarten children?
Do you want a good Salary?
Do you want weekends off and two ½ days?
If you do, please contact me today. Our kindergarten needs teachers for the new semester starting September. We also have vacancies in our training centers. We are based in GuangZhou, Dongguan, and Foshan all in Guangdong Province, China.
Our school is called CIEO (Canadian International Education Organization)
If you want more details then please get in touch, If you know someone who might be interested then please forward this to them.
If you can’t start September don’t worry, you can still apply as we need teachers throughout the year!
All the best,
Robert
Hello!!
Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, but silly chalkboard wont let me see my private messages, so I couldnt reply because I couldnt access what you had wrote to me! PAH
So hopefully it will sort its self out soon and then I can fully reply.
I hope all is going well in China! :) You havent got long left now have you? You excited about going home?
Did you say something about going back to university? Also heard you have a job to come home to?
I have now completed the main 60 part of the TEFL course so now its just the extra modules. But I have sent out so many applications to Hotels, Hostels, car hire, au pair/nanny, PA for English company out in Barcelona and PR jobs promoting nights out! All of these are back ups just encase I cant find a TEFL job straight away! So this weekend is all about sending applications to primary and secondary schools! Fingres crossed as I only have 8 weeks left till we fly out! Ekkk exciting!
Hope your well! xxx
Alrighhhhhtttttt? :)
Firstly how are you? Hows China?! I saw that you were finding it hard at the begining but by the looks of it your loving it now? The internship what you expected? It looks amazing!
I knew you took a tefl course but had no idea that it was the same one I got interested in, untill I saw on tefl chalkboard on the 'What's Fresh", didnt think it would of actually been you!
AndYeahhhhh I am doing the 120 hour course but I am only slightly stuck on the last checkpoint on the main 60 hour part! But nearly there :) done my intensive weekend bit. Just this checkpoint and the extra modules you can take. How long did it take you to complete everything?
Spain is the way forward, Barcelona! Plan tickets booked and hotel for the 1st week while we look for a flat.
Very exciting times! Todd is coming too, as part of his 4 year university course he has to do a year at a Spanish university, so its really me coming with him lol Annnnnnnnnnd job wise I am looking all over the internet, job sites and schools in Barcelona! Going to need fingers crossed on that one ha!
When are you back? How are you finding teaching a real class? Are you doing it all by yourself?
Hope all is good for you too! xxxx
Hey there,
My name is Emma and I work on the i-to-i team as an Online tutor. The China Internship team are constantly trying to improve the intern experience and have asked me to create some new materials to aid new teachers in their first few weeks. So I thought who better to ask than the interns themselves!!! So, in terms of teaching, my questions to you are:
What would you have liked more help on and what have you struggled the most with in your lessons?
How do you find teaching Chinese students?
What activities do you find work well with your students?
Any feedback, good or bad would be much appreciated. If you didn't feel comfortable and felt stressed here is your chance to let us know and you will be helping future interns.
Please follow this link to leave your much appreciated feedback: http://www.tefl-chalkboard.com/groups/3-Teach-in-China-Internship/discussion/249-calling-all-china-interns
Thanks,
Emma

Not much has changed here to be honest its not raining today so thats a plus! Not working until Thursday so it will probably be the longest two days of my life! ah well..Yeah think Im coming down with a cold myself hopefullt it will pass..
Take care
Hi Alice
Hows things going now? Have you asked to move placement too?
How was your weekend Alice??? Did you make it to Beijing? Sadly, I spent most of mine cooped up sick in the apartment (thank god I brought the first season of Ugly Betty). I hope yours was more exciting.
Ready for this week?? I'm working on my many lesson plans right now. Best of luck for tomorrow!
; )
Yeah, it seems a lot of the ideas we were planning on don't really work with our particular teaching situations. You do sound like you're in a tough situation. You can't use worksheets at all? What do the other teachers seem to be doing for the whole time?
I have four more new classes this afternoon and I'm just going to try and be enthusiastic and do what I can.
Hope you can figure out a way to make into Beijing this weekend. Sounds like we could all use some fun after this week. (I can't seem to find other foreigners here to make friends with yet but i'm hoping i will soon!!!) Good luck.
I know what you mean about feeling homesick. I'd really love to see any of you i-to-i people right now. I'd probably hug you like a long lost friend. You'll have to tell me how your class went. I had my first class today and tomorrow I have four back-to-back. I don't feel that my experience today will help me improve my lessons for tomorrow, except for the fact that now I know how difficult it's going to be. I don't think the students understand me much, and all I know is it's supposed to be a conversation class, which isn't easy when your students can't really converse... Ah well. Please keep me updated.
Hi Alice, Yes im feeling totally isolated! By the looks of things i could be the only foriegn person in the city! My school and house is situated downtown so its quite dirty! I live acorss from the school on the 8th floor above a food market so I have to dodge the rats on my way home! The english speaking teacher in the school is very nice and if it wasnt for her I think I would of went home already! I start work tommorw and will be teaching 3-12 year olds in classes around the size of 20 so im not worried about the teaching! Its the boredom when im not teaching Im worried about its going to be so hard to meet people here and there is nobody near me at all! Im going to give it a few weeks and see how things go, if it doesnt get any better i will have to try and get a placement transfer, I know we signed up for something different but I didnt think i would be so isolated for 5 months! We will just have to keep the chin up for now and see how things go...Whats your situation like? where are you placed?
