Update!
Sooooo...
Since my last post I was accepted to the China internship and in recent weeks I decided not to go!!! Yip, true story!
In all the excitement I booked the internship before I had started the dissertation process for my masters. Long story short, I left myself will no time at all to complete the research and write it up before taking off to China! So I made the decision to pull out of the internship and focus on my masters. I got a loan to pay for the internship so I'm kinda pissed that I'm not entitled to the refund. In fairness, it's in the T&C's so it's not like I can argue with it. I figure it's a lot cheaper than doing another masters if I fail!!!
Anyhooodles! I still have plans which I'm super excited about! I'm in the process of applying for EPIK through ESLstarter for Feb intake! I love everything about South Korea (I haven't actually been there yet :P) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get through the interview! Is anyone else applying for EPIK? I plan on travelling around SE Asia with a friend for a month or so beforehand. I'm flying out to Bangkok to meet her at the end of Dec/start of Jan and we're going to start from there and then it's CNY with my friend and her family in Hubei, China. Eeeeep!!

My lesson plan wasn't the full 2 pages but it was about a page and a half. How are you getting on with it?
I'm sad because I'm losing so much money haha..but otherwise I've kinda accepted I'm not going now so I'm alright. I'm just looking forward to my travels in January now! These things happen for a reason so onwards and upwards.
I was told that I won't hear about an interview 'til October. We have to fill out an updated application form late September I think. We filled in the application form from last year so once we fill out the updated one we'll hear back about an interview! I'm kinda glad I'll be at home now actually because it'll be a lot easier to get all my documents together. If you still have it, can you email me the list of all the documents we need once we pass the interview. I want to start getting them ready. I know I've to order a copy of my degree and then get it apostilled but I don't remember what else I need.
Hey I'm really undecided! I don't know what to do! I'm just uncertain about the year contract! Talk is where you spend 6 months in a rural part of south korea and you teach in after school clubs! Does it have to be minimum 2 sides long and can you choose to do it on any subject? I'm a bit confused what there after! Are you sad your not doing the china internship? Have you heard about an interview for epik? X

I submitted my application a while back. I just wanted to get it submitted so I could focus on other things. I just included one of my lesson plans that I done for one of the checkpoints so if you have any of your lesson plans saved you should just use one of those :) If not, the structure that they have given with the EPIK application guidelines is basically the same as the structure used for the TEFL course so follow that and you should be fine.
What is TALK all about? I seen it on the Korean website but I never really looked at it. Are you still a bit undecided about what you want to do?
Hey Alannah, how is your EPIK application going? I have finished the first draft of my personal statement, im a b it confused about the lesson plan can it be on whatever we want? I have also looked into the TALK program which is for 6 months and only 15 hours a week! I dont know which to go with!! x
