Sounds like a good plan you have, is that Feb 2013 that you are looking at coming out here then? That's pretty much when I'm leaving (get in touch and there might even be a job at my school for you if you wanted it!). I wouldn't worry about being totally confident, as honestly, no one ever is! You get that when you have to do it. I had to go sledding the other day with my kindy kids, and it was terrifying! I was in a ring and they push you down, and I was going backwards and very fast, and I was sure I'd fall out. Anyways, the kid I'm going down with is crying her eyes out by the time we get to the bottom, so rather than catch my breath and swear I'm never doing it again to anyone who'll listen, I have to immediately get up and comfort this girl. I didn't think I'd even be able to go sledding if I wasn't having to do it for this girl (she didn't want to go on her own). Anyways, basically the moral of that long and rambling story is that you're pretty much able to do most things first go, even if they're scary and horrible a couple of times!
Sounds like you will be having a great year! Good luck with it all :D
Hey! Yeah, the Lunar New Year is just the general name for the Chinese New Year, which is celebrated in a fair few places. Yes, Koreans celebrate both new years, and I went to my pastor's house then another house for fireworks at midnight. Cheongju is where I used to live, about an hour on the bus from where I am atm. It's not really exploring tbh. I should really do some travelling with the long weekend, but to be honest, I can't be bothered with trying to get seats on busses at this time of year! Every Korean and his dog is travelling to relative's houses, and everything is closed anyways :P
I don't know how many days we get off total this year, I get 10 in my contract then I know one of these falls on a holiday, as do at least one or two others. I am hoping Christmas (which is a public holiday) will be in the middle of our school holiday and if that happens it will mean we don't get an extra one I shouldn't think (although it will also mean I can go home for Christmas!).
Hey! Good thanks! I stayed in Daejeon this weekend and pottered about. I am going to Cheongju on Sunday for my friend's birthday, then I have very few plans of what to do with the Lunar New Year. I am hoping I'll actually get around to doing something, but transport is pretty booked up, and it's only 2 days, because one of them falls on a weekend (boo!). How was yours? How is your course going?
This is the other site, I forgot to put it in that last post XP
