Hello to all the TEFLers out there!
I've pulled back from going to South Korea for the time being and looked for a shorter stay closer to home. In the form of Greece. Has anyone had any work experience there as a teacher?
I know it is going through a bad phase right now economically, but I don't see this as a hinderance.
I like the culture, food and weather aspect of Greece in all honesty. I've applied to a position today and hope to hear back from them at some point soon =)
Any advice would be welcome for interviews or about working in Greece itself, thanks!!!

This sounds awful, but I actually have no idea! I applied to a Greek teaching agency through TEFL.com and was contacted by the agent through his personal email. So I can't remember what agency he was with... I can ask him if you'd like?

Well I know the country is going through a bad time but to be fair, every country has went through a strike or recession and bounced back.
I have applied through the website www.tefl.com .... http://anglo-hellenic.com/ <--- and I applied through an online form so I could send them my picture. I got that done on Friday, though I haven't had any responce so far. Hope to hear from them soon.
When I hear something I will post on here about it. What recruiter did you use elliskate23 ?

I'm currently living and working in Athens. I love it here so far. The only thing about the crisis that the country is going through that will annoy you is the strikes. They have so many a week and you constantly have to check if there's any transportation strikes, especially if you're flying!
Some things can be really expensive and others not so much, it depends on what you want to buy etc. But if you want any information then just holler, I'll try and give you as much information as I can!
