I just had a call from the embassy saying that the visa application which TTC sent through to me is out of date... and I have to send another one, downloadable from the website. Also, I can only get a single entry 90 day F visa, not the 180 day visa as suggested by TTC.
Anyone else had this problem?? Bit annoying, considering I spent £10 sending all the info.

haha i had exactly the same problem, buddy. sorted now, but with a 90 day, not 180. it seems i might be down a bit, then
I collected my VISA from Manchester on Friday and it appears that I have been issued a 180 day single entry too. Must be the same as you Welshygems - I hope this saves us £200 when we land!
How strange is this peeps. I went to the Chinese Visa Application Service in the centre of manchester to pick up my visa and I got the 180 days one. Sounds a bit like a lottery to me. I had also left the highlights on from Cheryl (but crossed some out obv) They must be more relaxed there.
I wish... Just sent another form on special delivery. Ah well, at least it should be with me soon!

I just spoke to the embassy and they said that the second section of my form starts at the bottom of the first page, which is invalid. Also, I have to TICK the boxes, whereas I left the highlights Cheryl Chan put on. OH MY GOD, the bureaucracy!!!!!!!!!!!
So, it seems, the form isn't out of date, it was just in the wrong format...

I had the same problem with the 180 day visa and had to go for a 90 day one instead. This is inconvenient but not a major issue as you can get the visa extended when you get to China and TTC will help with this which is what I'll be doing when I arrive.

I went to the embassy in Manchester as well and am picking it up tomorrow. It all seemed to go through ok. I'll tell you whether I got the 180 days or not as soon as i get it!
Strange - I went to the embassy in Manchester today and got mine sorted. I am collecting it on Friday but they didn't say anything about the form I was using. Guess I'll find out on Friday as to what I get!
I didn't have any problems with my form, but I was only allowed a 90 day entry as well. I guess the important thing is we can get into the country...and TTC deal with all the extension stuff, don't they? Ah well, it's all done now though (for me), which is the main thing :)
