Im Booked!

Whoo hoo! Im all booked and ready to start learning.  Im so excited.  But there's so much to do, got to send off my application pack by the end of this weekend and Im heading to London on Saturday for an Info Talk Day with i-to-i so if anyone else is going id love to hear from you.  Maybe we could meet up for a drink and share our thoughts on the whole thing??

Also, ive just found out that I need to pay for my visa and an extension fee when I arrive in China (around £170-180 in cash on 23rd August).  I was wondering, was anyone else aware of this?  I don't mind but I hadn't made allowances for this extra cost so Ive got to work really hard to save up all the extra money.  Best get on and find a job then.... sharp-ish!

Speak to you all soon I hope,

Abi x

Brilliant Abi, that fabulous news that you've applied for the internship.  And if it makes you feel any better, you're not the only one who's having to get creative about pulling together cash for everything!  My sister has suggested that I try to get work as a Healthcare Assistant with an Agency, then offer to work Sundays as you get paid double time or something silly like that - I'll be looking into it next week.  Enjoy the TEFL info day.

Congratulations Abi! That's great that you've booked your spot on the internship - I'm going to be down at the info talk on Saturday doing the presentation about TEFL (am v.scared - please, no heckling!!) so you'll have to come over and say hello afterwards :)

Good luck with the job-hunting and if you have any questions about the internship feel free to drop me a line!
