- How do I find work?
- Finding work before you go is the best option. TASIS, Berlitz and Haut-Lac are some of the most popular schools.
- Can I find work while in-country?
- You’re unlikely to find a full-time job in-country, but you should be able to arrange some private tuition.
- What is the usual hiring process?
- Send off your CV and if the school likes it, they’ll arrange an interview. You may have an initial telephone interview, but you’ll invariably have to go to Switzerland to see them in person.
- Is a work visa required to find paid work?
- Yes – you’ll need to need to obtain the work permit prior to arrival. Switzerland isn’t part of the EU, but does have a bilateral agreement which makes moving here a little easier. However, the permits are still difficult to obtain and require an on offer of employment.
