Can I find work while in-country?
This is possible, though not as easy as in other Asian countries – it is much better to organize a job before you leave for India.
What is the usual hiring process?
As usual, just send off your CV and a covering letter when applying, and then you’ll usually be interviewed over the telephone.
Is a work visa required to find paid work?
Visas are required for entry into India for tourism or work. All visitors must obtain visas at an Indian Embassy or Consulate abroad prior to entering the country. If you’ve confirmed a job beforehand, your employer will help with your work visa arrangements.
