- The best way to find work is to join the Hong Kong government’s NET program. They’ll find you a job with a good salary but you will need a TEFL certificate. There are lots of other schools that advertise for posts, as well as agencies that promote themselves in newspapers and over the internet.
- Can I find work while in-country?
- Yes. Look in the Yellow Pages or in local English-language newspapers.
- What is the usual hiring process?
- Send off your CV/Resume and you’ll be interviewed in the usual way.
- Is a work visa required to find paid work in?
- Yes. The authorities are strict, but your employer can sponsor you to obtain a work permit. If you arrange a job while in Hong Kong on a tourist visa, you’ll have to leave and re-enter the country to change your status.
