Not sure what to expect?
Read what current Intern Erin has to say about her time at i-to-i...
"My name is Erin and I started my industrial placement here at i-to-i TEFL back in August. I am a Business Studies undergraduate at Leeds Metropolitan University and wanted to experience a more practical side to the modules I had been studying as well as helping to grasp a greater understanding of the world of work.
Within the role of Marketing Intern I perform numerous tasks to help and support my colleagues. My work load is very varied and includes tasks such as monitoring i-to-i's social networking site, writing articles and producing promotional material. I have also had the opportunity to attend several graduate fairs throughout the country and work independently on projects which has helped me greatly in gaining confidence and a better understanding of how marketing functions on a practical level.
As part of my placement package I was offered a free 140 hour TEFL course which I am currently working to complete at my own pace. This was a bonus for me as it helps increase my product knowledge as well as providing me with a qualification I can use after University.
I'd advise any undergraduate thinking of doing a placement to apply for this opportunity as the internship allows you to develop and progress as an individual, you are also given the opportunity to voice your opinions and share ideas.
i-to-i is a lively and friendly company to work for and I certainly feel I have benefited from my time here. I feel like I am learning all the time and look forward to channelling this experience into my future study".
